Release focus

VoxGuard 4.8.20 refreshes the internal pilot build on both Android and iOS. The release prepares controlled Helsinki demo support for operator-led pilot demonstrations while keeping that automation disabled unless explicitly enabled for an approved group.

This is not a public app-store release. Wider rollout, open testing, external TestFlight distribution, and production release remain separate release-owner decisions.

Controlled Helsinki demo support is ready for internal pilot demonstrations.
Demo automation remains operator-controlled and disabled by default.
Release notes are synchronized to both Release Hub and getvoxguard.com.

Engineering

Technical changes

Added bounded Helsinki demo maintenance tooling for clearly marked internal demo users.
Added a group-scoped runtime setting for demo automation, with the default state off.
Applied and verified the production database migration needed by the demo setting.
Updated the release documentation path so Release Hub and getvoxguard.com stay synchronized for VoxGuard releases.

Test and build evidence

Release-gate revalidation: flutter analyze PASS, flutter test PASS with 2366 passing / 0 failing / 25 skipped, simulator health PASS, quick simulator smoke 7/7 PASS.
Quick simulator smoke covered auth restore, expired session handling, logout, admin read-only access, message sending, realtime messaging, and cross-group isolation.
Production Android and iOS artifacts were built with the release artifact pipeline.
Store-upload artifact checks and credentialed Fastlane preflight passed before live uploads.

iOS TestFlight: PASS. App Store Connect processed build 4.8.20 (26070701).

Limits

Known limits

The Android upload uses Google Play Internal testing only, and the iOS upload uses TestFlight only.
The demo support in this release is maintenance tooling, not a public self-service admin feature.
Tester-list, install, and wider rollout closeout remains a release-owner responsibility if this build is expanded beyond the restricted internal pilot flow.
